
1- In the operating scheme of the UEMOA, the Inter-Parliamentary Committee (IPC) is a body of democratic control, which was created by Article 35 of the Constitutive Treaty of the Union. It constitutes a true representation of the populations of the UEMOA, in their cultural, intellectual and professional diversity, in order to better involve them in the construction of democratic, economic and political governance.
2- The IPC is currently chaired by His Excellency, Honorable Deputy Goakun Rossan Noël TOE on behalf of Burkina Faso.
Its headquarters is located in Bamako, Mali.
